Hyperserve offers flexible pricing to match your video hosting needs, from free tier for getting started to pay-as-you-go for production applications.

Overview

We offer two subscription plans:

  • Free Plan: Perfect for getting started, testing, and small projects
  • Pay as You Go: Scalable usage-based pricing for production applications

Free Plan

The Free plan is ideal for getting started with Hyperserve, testing integrations, or running small projects.

What's Included

  • 10 videos in your account at any time (delete a video to free up a slot)
  • 300 MB maximum file size per video
  • 50 GB of bandwidth per month
  • Basic email support
  • Access to all video features (transcoding, thumbnails, public/private videos)

Usage Limits

The Free plan has two types of limits:

  1. Video Count: You can have up to 10 videos in your account at any time. Deleting a video immediately frees up that slot.
  2. Bandwidth: Data transferred when users watch your videos, tracked monthly and reset each billing period.

What Happens When Limits Are Exceeded?

Video count: When you attempt to upload an 11th video, the upload will be rejected immediately with a clear error. Delete an existing video to free up a slot, or upgrade to pay as you go for unlimited videos.

Bandwidth: When you exceed 50 GB of bandwidth in a billing period, you enter a 5-day grace period:

  1. Uploads blocked: New video uploads are rejected, but your existing videos remain publicly accessible
  2. Email notification: You'll receive an email explaining the situation and your options
  3. API headers: Responses include X-Free-Tier-Grace-Period: true and X-Free-Tier-Grace-Period-Expires so your monitoring can detect the state
  4. After 5 days: If still over the limit, your videos pause and become inaccessible to viewers

Automatic restoration: If your monthly billing period resets while you're in the grace period (or after content is locked), access is automatically restored — no action needed. You don't have to upgrade just because a period boundary happens to fall during the grace window.

To restore access before your period resets, upgrade to the Pay as You Go plan.

Important

Your content and data are never deleted. Everything will be immediately accessible again once you upgrade or your monthly period resets.

Usage Alerts

We'll send you email alerts at key points:

  • 90% bandwidth used: Warning to consider upgrading soon
  • Grace period started: Your uploads are blocked but videos are still accessible — includes your reset date and upgrade option
  • Grace period expiring: Sent 1 day before content locks, urgent reminder to act
  • Content locked: Your videos have paused — how to restore access
  • Content restored: Your monthly period reset and everything is back to normal

You can monitor your current usage at any time in your billing dashboard.

Pay as You Go Plan

The Pay as You Go plan is designed for production applications that need reliable, scalable video infrastructure without worrying about limits.

Pricing

Pay only for what you use with transparent, predictable pricing:

  • $0.05 per minute of video processing
  • $0.02 per GB of storage per month
  • $0.06 per GB of bandwidth

  • Unlimited storage: No caps on total storage
  • Unlimited bandwidth: Scale to millions of video views
  • Priority support: Faster response times via email
  • Access to all video features

How Billing Works

  1. Monthly Billing Cycle: Usage is calculated monthly based on your subscription start date
  2. Automatic Charges: Usage charges are automatically billed to your payment method
  3. Real-time Tracking: Monitor your usage and costs in real-time through the dashboard

Example Costs

Here are some example scenarios to help you estimate costs:

Small Application

  • 100 minutes of processing per month
  • 50 GB of storage
  • 200 GB of bandwidth

Monthly cost: $5.00 + $1.00 + $12.00 = $18.00/month

Medium Application

  • 500 minutes of processing per month
  • 200 GB of storage
  • 1,000 GB (1 TB) of bandwidth

Monthly cost: $25.00 + $4.00 + $60.00 = $89.00/month

Large Application

  • 2,000 minutes of processing per month
  • 1,000 GB (1 TB) of storage
  • 5,000 GB (5 TB) of bandwidth

Monthly cost: $100.00 + $20.00 + $300.00 = $420.00/month

Upgrading Your Plan

Ready to upgrade? Visit your billing page and click the "Upgrade Now" button.

Upgrade Process

  1. Navigate to the Billing page in your dashboard
  2. Click "Upgrade Now" on the Pay as You Go plan card
  3. Enter your payment information via Stripe's secure checkout
  4. Start using unlimited resources immediately
Instant Activation

Your Pay as You Go subscription activates immediately after payment confirmation. Any locked content will be instantly accessible.

Downgrading

Currently, there is no self-service option to downgrade from Pay as You Go back to Free. If you need to downgrade, please contact our support team at support@hyperserve.io.

When you cancel your Pay as You Go subscription, it will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which your content will be unavailable and eventually deleted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change plans mid-cycle?

Yes! You can upgrade to Pay as You Go at any time. The change takes effect immediately, and you'll be charged for usage starting from that moment.

What happens to my Free tier usage when I upgrade?

Your usage counter resets when you upgrade to Pay as You Go. You'll start fresh with the new billing cycle.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No. The Pay as You Go plan has no minimum commitment. You can cancel at any time, though you'll be charged for any usage during your billing period.

How do I track my usage?

Your billing dashboard shows real-time usage metrics for video count and bandwidth.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
